In words of Brain Educator Ilchi Lee the symbol of the second Chakra is a six-leaf, scarlet lotus flower. Along with the first Chakra, the second Chakra controls sexual energy. A person with a healthy second Chakra has strength, while a person with a blocked second Chakra easily feels fatigued.

The lower Dahn-jon is where the earth’s energy, flowing in through the ‘Yong-chun’ points, combines with both the energy of heaven, coming in as you breathe, and the energy of life that exists within us all. Here these energies merge and are transformed into a higher form of energy.

Energies gathered in the lower Dahn-jon also stimulate the kidneys to elevate water energy and lower fire energy, facilitating optimal flow of energy according to the Law of Su-Seung-Hwa-Gang (Water Energy Up, Fire Energy Down). This results in a relaxed mind, clear head, and strong Dahn-jon.

A four-leaf lotus flower with a deep red color represents the first Chakra. According to Ilchi Lee this Chakra is the place where the body meets the earth. It is the place where energy flows into the body. When this Chakra is weak, energy can also be lost through this area. The first Chakra is the source of all creation and growth, undulating with the pure energy of life. The first Chakra must be fully functional in order to activate the other Chakras. It acts as a pump that helps the stream of energy rise along the spine. This imparts a sense of confidence and a love of life, creating a positive energy field that influences others.

A person with a healthy first Chakra is full of life and the will to grow. If your first Chakra is blocked or impeded, you will experience a lack of will, vigor, and passion. Without sufficient physical energy, the body cannot act as a solid anchor for consciousness, resulting in the lack of a sense of reality. This may result in the appearance of illness and over sensitivity to external circumstances. Spiritual richness can only arise with plenty of energy.

According to Ilchi Lee on a large piece of paper, draw the trunk and branches of a tree. Label the trunk “my life,” and label the branches with aspects of life that are important to the child— school, relationships, character, sports, etc. You may leave some branches to fill in later. Then cut out leaves from green construction paper. Write on the leaves any goal the child has—to read a certain book, to change a habit, or to gain a certain skill. Tape or glue the leaves on when the goal has been achieved. Hang the tree on the child’s wall and watch it and your child blossom!

One of the most important decisions for your child will be how to use his or her brain in relation to other brains. Technology has caused the world to effectively “shrink.” As a result, children will have to deal with a large variety of cultures and people in their lifetimes. The artificial barriers of political boundaries are breaking down in light of the communication age. In fact, the younger generation may be the first in the history of humanity to identify themselves as citizens of Earth, rather than of a single nation.

Furthermore, environmental concerns are bound to reach their zenith early in the twenty-first century.

One of the most common questions adults ask kids is, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” The answer is often something like “a fireman” or “a doctor.” Kids seem to instinctively know that we are asking about future career choice, reflecting our notion that the quality of “being” is inextricably linked to how you earn a living.

Perhaps the question Ilchi Lee says, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” should also be asked in a deeper and more meaningful sense. Maybe we should also ask, “What sort of character would you like to have? How do you want to feel about yourself? How do you want to treat other people?” These may seem like overly deep, almost burdensome questions to ask a child, but in fact children are making these decisions, whether we ask them directly or not. The child’s character and emotional habits are being formed in every encounter and experience. It is on the playground that we decide to live by the fists or by conscience. It s through play that we learn how to keep friends and make enemies

These aspects of “being” almost certainly have more direct impact on our children’s eventual happiness than the amount of money they make or the kind of job they pursue. The definition of success” based solely on money and career is obviously shallow and incomplete.

When a child can envision the kind of person he or she wants to be, and can take action to achieve that goal, he or she will have achieved true oram mastery, the last and most important step in the Brain Education system.

The visualization and goal-setting activities in this lesson can help children become the people they want to be. More in word of Ilchi Lee they have already learned valuable skills of emotional control and creativity. Now they can apply those concepts to begin creating a life picture for themselves. Career and education may be an important part of this picture, but more important is the personal strength of character needed to achieve these goals.

Have your child draw a picture of him or herself having achieved some goal he or she would like to attain. It could be becoming a fireman, scoring a goal in soccer, or traveling to another country—anything is fine. Let the child share about the drawing and tell how he or she would like to achieve that goal.

Ilchi Lee tells in his book physical bodies cannot truly join together to become one. However, souls can become a unified and true One. If you know ‘Ki’ energy, your soul can merge into wholeness, for energy forms the bridge upon which souls travel.

Bring your hands together in front of your chest, palms facing each other. Once again, feel the energy between your palms, eyes lightly closed and concentrating on your hands. Imagine your right hand as your soul and the left, the soul of the Earth, Mago. Feel the energy form a bridge between your hands, connecting them and allowing them to commune. Feel the bridge of energy draw your hands nearer to each other, bringing your soul closer to the soul of the Earth, merging with the life of Mago. Your hands have come together. And you have met the soul of the Earth. You have experienced Mago.

Mother Earth Remember me I am seeking you To complete my soul
Mother Earth Remember me Allow my soul Into your Oneness
My dream as your dream My dream as Mago’s dream Mago’s dream as my reason For coming here to the Earth
Mother Earth
Remember me
I seek to fulfill Mago’s dream
For Earth’s everlasting peace.

These lines are about subject copied from book of founder of Dahn Yoga Ilchi Lee

The first time I felt the power of Ki energy was when I went on an errand for my mother when I was five. The next time was in my mid-twenties, when I visited an old bookstore in the old center of Seoul in Korea. I picked up a book whose cover was falling off and turned it to the first page. There I saw a sentence that sent jolts of electricity running through me. It said, “If you achieve enlightenment through positive energy and deeds, you will be invincible.” As soon as I read that sentence, a live wire was running through me and an invisible warmth formed a blanket around me. I was a third-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and had even run a martial arts school, but I had never felt this way before. I did not want to let this feeling go. As I rode the bus back home, I sat huddled to myself, quiet, drunk on that wonderful and powerful feeling. Afterwards, my life became dictated by Ki energy,

The next day, I woke up at four o’clock in the morning. And the morning after that later on, I found out that four A.M. is the time when the energy connection between the cosmos and Earth is the strongest. If you become sensitized to the flow of Ki, then your body will naturally respond to its rhythm. I did not used to be a morning person at all. But afterwards, I would get up at four A.M.

In words of Ilchi Lee in his book “I truly give my respect and utmost praise to those who have advanced democracy to where it is now. For without their Herculean efforts, we could not have realized the material and mental advances that make possible the spiritual advance that is our next step as humanity: to create a true, spiritual democracy. What the people want, the people will get. And it is up to the people of the United States, as the cradle of democracy in the world, to lead us all to that next level of democracy by using her reach and power and status, creating a truly beautiful world. Maybe this is the purpose for which the United States was born.

The Earth may look large, but it has truly become a small town through advances in communications and transportation.

That’s why we call it an Earth Village. If we gather our strengths together, can we not positively influence this little village? What are the obstacles that face us? Not enough food? No. Environmental problems? Since we human beings are the cause of the environmental problems that we face today, we can also be the solution. We just need a shift in our thinking. We just need to move away from the paradigm of competition and domination. Then this world will not end. In fact, the world will prosper and return to its original place as the warm cradle of self-discovery and the advancement of human spirituality. And such a world is true democracy.”

These lines are copied from Mr Ilchi Lee’s book

In his historic Gettysburg Address, President Lincoln spoke of a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Close to 150 years later, the seed of democracy has been planted throughout the world and is blossoming forth, having been judged by society as being superior to socialism. Democracy is gaining stature as the ideal form of government. However, although we see the roots and the stems of democracy all around the world, in no country has the flower of democracy bloomed in full yet.

What is true democracy? I want to call it the “Hong-Ik Democracy,” or Wide-Benefits Democracy. A democracy is not for the advancement of the elite few but for the betterment of the whole society. A democracy in which politics, economy, religion, culture, and science can be used for the benefit of all its participants and users, with the sole common purpose being the betterment of all of us, not at the expense of others, but in conjunction with others, until there is no “Other.” A true democracy is not for the dominators or the conquerors, but for those who seek to share.

We cannot create such a system with more legislation or regulations. We can create such a system only when our collective human consciousness has reached a certain level of spiritual awakening. Then such a system will arise. It will virtually create itself.

Each of the twelve main Power Brain lessons is designed to be practiced for at least one week before moving on to the next. Each one builds on the skills gained in the previous chapter, so try to complete all lessons in order if possible. However, you may want to try mixing and matching activities to fit the needs of an individual child. You may choose a single five-minute exercise, or you may follow the entire one-hour lesson plan that has been provided. Also, exercises can and should be repeated to increase mastery.

If your schedule is very tight, don’t feel pressured to master each lesson completely in a single week. Do try to be regular in practicing the exercises, but be creative in the ways that you integrate this into your family’s life. Ideally, you should set aside about an hour to introduce a lesson, but even this can be broken down into manageable segments of time. You will quickly discover that you have more available time than you think for practicing some of these exercises. You can try them while standing in line, riding in the car, or getting ready for bed—any place or time is fine.

The author of this article Ilchi Lee is currently the chairman of world earth human alliance and the new millennium peace foundation.
