Walk with feet parallel while putting strength on Yong-chun, an energy point located at the ball of the foot, and on the toes.

Tuck the tailbone upward and tighten your lower abdomen. As you walk lean forward slightly, tilting forward about one degree. Walk with an open chest. Breathe naturally into the abdomen, being sure to exhale completely.

Walk with a bright smile. Walk with a sense of purpose and forward momentum. Swing both arms freely as you walk. Feel subtle vibrations spreading throughout the soles, chest, and the entire body.

Through it, you can discover your purest mind and your highest ideals so that you can live for the betterment of all humanity. In other words, it can help you be true to who you really are inside. Please listen carefully to the song that is coming from within your soul; it is a song of peace and a song of hope. It is telling you that everything you really want will come to you. It is telling you that your potential is greater than even the widest of seas. Your brain is waiting, like the North Star, to guide you to your destination. I hope also that you will have the courage to face greater and greater waves during your life. There is no joy in riding safely in the protected waters of a bay. You must be willing to challenge yourself in order to achieve the life you want.

As you ride the wave of your life, look ahead to the waves that are coming, but keep yourself in harmony with the moment. The wave will go up, and the wave will go down. Either way, realize the natural beauty of this and learn to always be grateful. This is the source of lasting joy.

NOW THAT YOU HAVE LEARNED to reconnect to the rhythm of your own body and mind through Brain Wave Vibration, you can view the universe as a vast ocean of endless possibility. Remember that vour whole life is but a wave on that ocean. Your every thought and action adds momentum and direction to your wave. It is up to YOU to determine at which shore your life will arrive.

Approach your life the way a surfer faces the ocean. I have heard that a surfer must wipe out hundreds of times before ever having a really great ride. But all of those moments of failure teach the rider something about balance—not really something you could write in a book but a feeling, a way of harmonizing with the wave. If you seek this sort of harmony with everything life brings, there can be no failure.

At times, when you are out in the middle of the sea of life, you may feel lonely and afraid. You have no reason to fear, however, if you simply keep connected to the vibrations of the uni¬verse and the source of life. Brain Wave Vibration exists to help you keep connected to the cosmos simply and without much effort.

At first this image of your perfected self may not be very clear to you. You may be undecided as to who you really want to be. If this is the case, don’t worry. It is natural at the beginning of any journey. You don’t know what the Grand Canyon is like until you go there, right? But you can imagine it, and that imagination is an important part of what will propel you toward it.

Just focus intently, and soon you will become clearer and clearer to yourself. You can start with a general idea of who you want to be by setting small, attainable goals. As you gain confidence and awareness, your true identity will become increasingly obvious, like an image emerging on a Polaroid photograph.

Most importantly, always remember that this training is for you. You are not doing it to please anyone or to gain anything from someone else. This is a precious moment with yourself in a world that is always calling you outside yourself. Even five minutes of practice can become eternal if you allow yourself to go deep inside to explore the infinite landscape within you.

J. HERE ARE FEW RULES for Brain Wave

Vibration. You will be surprised to discover that with practice you can experience the benefits of the method almost anywhere and in a variety of forms.

The level at which your brain waves resonate could be equated with the level at which your consciousness resonates. Hawkins

Has spent many years calibrating levels of consciousness. Various human consciousness states, such as shame, fear, courage, and joy, are assigned various vibratory levels. Each level has corresponding effects on a person’s reality. We all have the potential to move up and down on this scale as our moods, emotions, and attitudes change, but the level to which we habitually return is considered our regular consciousness level.

To determine consciousness levels, Hawkins uses a process called kinesiology, which shows the connection between the body, the brain, and its various states of consciousness. He determines the level of a person or object by testing its effect on human musculature. A lower consciousness level will cause muscle to go weak, while a higher consciousness level will strength¬en the muscle. Even when the subject is not aware of the object used in the test, consciousness levels calculate consistently. For example, if pictures of Mother Teresa and Adolf Hitler are placed in envelopes, the subject will still demonstrate a higher level of consciousness with the first.

Music itself has its own level of consciousness and thus can have an effect on the consciousness of the listener. David Hawkins the man who created the Map of Consciousness (page 98 i. tested various genres of music and found that they all possess a certain level of consciousness. For example, classical music as a whole calibrated at a higher level than country music, and country music in general calibrated higher than rap.

Young teenagers understand this instinctively, and thus they often seek to define themselves through associations with certain musical styles. Unfortunately, the music they seek is not always that which lifts them to higher states; more often they are drawn to music that resonates with their current state of consciousness. Just as they are drawn to other kids with similar levels of consciousness, they are drawn to music that resonates with their current brain wave patterns. In other words, a dark, angst-ridden teen is likely to be drawn to similarly themed music, where a more happy-go-lucky type might be more inclined to upbeat pop tunes. The same is also true for adults, even if somewhat less obviously.

Through this sort of energy dance, you will find that your body moves in just the way that it needs to move. Your body will find motions and stretches that will open the flow of energy in your body in just the right way. Your entire body, the spinal column and all the peripheral nerves, all the blood vessels and all the muscles, will move in unison with your own internal rhythms. In this way, you become your body’s own personal yoga instructor, creating movements that exactly fit your body’s needs at that moment. Every part of your body will open to vital healing energy.

I believe that there is a direct parallel between the condition of your body and the condition of your brain. When you release the stiffness in your body, you are also creating flexibility in your brain. In this way you become the instinctive, spontaneous healer of your own body and mind.

Many years ago, I developed a training method called Dahn-mu, which is meant to open people completely to this sort of universal rhythm. The word dahn refers to the basic, vital energy of life, and mu means “dance”; thus it could be called “energy dance” in English. In this practice, which is a form of Brain Wave Vibration, you are encouraged to let go of all limitations and simply follow the energy of the moment, letting the flow of energy move your body as it will.

Serendipitously, the word mu can also translate as “nothingness.” The state of mu, or nothingness, is achieved during Brain Wave Vibration when the mind is truly empty of thought, and you are able to simply follow the rhythms of life without hesitation. At this point, the boundaries of your body cease to exist, and you may experience a profound sense of oneness—first with the rhythms of your own body and ultimately with the universal rhythms of all life as your sense of separation fades away.

Most spiritual traditions have at their root the notion of the ultimate peace that comes through the oneness of all beings. The Bible speaks of “the peace that surpasses all understanding,” and Hindus speak of nirvana. My belief is that journeying to this place of oneness is the only thing that ultimately matters in any spiritual practice.

Much of our mythology teaches us that life is about finding our way back to oneness. In Korean traditions, we have the story of Mago, an Earth spirit analogous to Mother Earth in Western society. At one point, humanity was in accord with Mago, and there was a state of perfect peace and harmony. Like in the biblical story of Eden, this paradise was eventually lost as people began to divide themselves.

According to the mythologies of many cultures, humanity once lived harmoniously only to lose this perfect existence. The story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is a familiar example.
