In the Eastern culture, meditation is as old as most religions. Yet its benefit is not limited to any religion. It now obvious that many people in the West are turning to meditation for general well being.

What is also emerging is the concept of health as not being just reference to the physical well being or absence of disease. Rather it is the realization that peaceful mind in harmony with the environment is a requirement for a truly god health.

So what really is meditation?

There are various forms of meditation; these vary depending on the lead inspiration for the meditation. For example, Buddhists meditation may have a few areas of variation from that practiced by followers of Toa. Some aspects meditation emphasized in the Eastern tradition may not be emphasized in Zen meditation.

Whatever the meditation, there are certain features that cut across various types of meditation. These features are what provide the healing and relaxation associated with meditation. This makes meditation a science that provides similar results across board. It does not matter whether you are in the United States of America or Japan or African or Australia, you will be able to enjoy all the benefits of meditation.

Perhaps this is arises from the fact that every human being has more than just the brains and the body. There is a space in us that is often empty and does not get filled by the material things. You have to fulfill this emptiness to be able to feel at home and in harmony with the rest of the planet earth.

How is meditation done or practiced?

All the forms of meditation focus on keeping the body at inert position and allowing a focus in the inside. This focus can be termed as a focus on the spirit. This emanates from the fact that more often than not, we engage our bodies in too much hustle and tussle that we lack the time to really find ourselves. Finding self is more of finding purpose in the many events or activities we undertake.

Meditation therefore often involves sitting down quietly. The environment must be serene and no distractions should be allowed. The body and mind are let free of thoughts and attentive to self.

One of the most successful meditations is one practiced in dahn yoga. This form of meditation is based on principles of Ilchi Lee. The practitioners of this type of meditation have develop a tradition of visiting particular sites in middle East for meditation. The result is great self awareness, being at peace and healing from lifestyle diseases such as diabetes. Dahn yoga presents a full package of meditation and promotes unity among the adherents.

Walk with feet parallel while putting strength on Yong-chun, an energy point located at the ball of the foot, and on the toes.

Tuck the tailbone upward and tighten your lower abdomen. As you walk lean forward slightly, tilting forward about one degree. Walk with an open chest. Breathe naturally into the abdomen, being sure to exhale completely.

Walk with a bright smile. Walk with a sense of purpose and forward momentum. Swing both arms freely as you walk. Feel subtle vibrations spreading throughout the soles, chest, and the entire body.

NOW THAT YOU HAVE LEARNED to reconnect to the rhythm of your own body and mind through Brain Wave Vibration, you can view the universe as a vast ocean of endless possibility. Remember that vour whole life is but a wave on that ocean. Your every thought and action adds momentum and direction to your wave. It is up to YOU to determine at which shore your life will arrive.

Approach your life the way a surfer faces the ocean. I have heard that a surfer must wipe out hundreds of times before ever having a really great ride. But all of those moments of failure teach the rider something about balance—not really something you could write in a book but a feeling, a way of harmonizing with the wave. If you seek this sort of harmony with everything life brings, there can be no failure.

At times, when you are out in the middle of the sea of life, you may feel lonely and afraid. You have no reason to fear, however, if you simply keep connected to the vibrations of the uni¬verse and the source of life. Brain Wave Vibration exists to help you keep connected to the cosmos simply and without much effort.

At first this image of your perfected self may not be very clear to you. You may be undecided as to who you really want to be. If this is the case, don’t worry. It is natural at the beginning of any journey. You don’t know what the Grand Canyon is like until you go there, right? But you can imagine it, and that imagination is an important part of what will propel you toward it.

Just focus intently, and soon you will become clearer and clearer to yourself. You can start with a general idea of who you want to be by setting small, attainable goals. As you gain confidence and awareness, your true identity will become increasingly obvious, like an image emerging on a Polaroid photograph.

Most importantly, always remember that this training is for you. You are not doing it to please anyone or to gain anything from someone else. This is a precious moment with yourself in a world that is always calling you outside yourself. Even five minutes of practice can become eternal if you allow yourself to go deep inside to explore the infinite landscape within you.

I believe in humanity. We are an incredible species. We’re still just a child creature, and we’re still being nasty to each other. All children go through these phases. We’re growing up; we’re moving into adolescence now. When we grow up man, we’re going to be something!

Gene Roddenberry, creator of Star Trek AT IS EASY TO GET DISCOURAGED in today’s world. There are many human problems that dominate our headlines and preoccupy our minds. It can seem like the world is getting increasingly worse. There is no doubt that we need to change our ways or risk serious consequences.

I think, however, that all our troubles can turn around in an instant. All of the negativity we face is just a manifestation of our inner world, and just as a mood or a thought can change instantly, so can the world.

The important point is to look not at the temporary state of the world but at what is under the surface. If you believe that people truly desire peace, then there is no reason to despair.

I would contend that this method of evaluation works be¬cause the subconscious brain possesses abilities to evaluate the relative vibrations of consciousness far more accurately than even than the well-developed thinking mind. The rational mind can make evaluations with some level of accuracy, if given proper information about an object. But the intuitive mind can sense the relative truthfulness of these things immediately. This ability is evidence of amazing internal wisdom, which the thinking brain can never hope to attain, even after years of experience and study. And this wealth of intuitive knowledge is all right there waiting for you to use it.

This untapped part of our brain, the intuitive brain, is a central part of what can be uncovered through Brain Wave Vibration. By tapping into this wisdom, you allow your brain to transmit it to all parts of your body for healing and complete happiness. Just as our intuitive brain responds to the vibration level of objects outside ourselves, our bodies respond even more dramatically to the content of our own thoughts.

As I see it, your brain is already designed to help you find health, happiness, and peace. All you have to do is let it.

The level at which your brain waves resonate could be equated with the level at which your consciousness resonates. Hawkins

Has spent many years calibrating levels of consciousness. Various human consciousness states, such as shame, fear, courage, and joy, are assigned various vibratory levels. Each level has corresponding effects on a person’s reality. We all have the potential to move up and down on this scale as our moods, emotions, and attitudes change, but the level to which we habitually return is considered our regular consciousness level.

To determine consciousness levels, Hawkins uses a process called kinesiology, which shows the connection between the body, the brain, and its various states of consciousness. He determines the level of a person or object by testing its effect on human musculature. A lower consciousness level will cause muscle to go weak, while a higher consciousness level will strength¬en the muscle. Even when the subject is not aware of the object used in the test, consciousness levels calculate consistently. For example, if pictures of Mother Teresa and Adolf Hitler are placed in envelopes, the subject will still demonstrate a higher level of consciousness with the first.

He was soon plagued with health problems, including deep fatigue and unnatural hair loss. On top of that, he smoked and drank too much to relieve the stress. Now his health has improved because he uses Brain Wave Vibration to clear away the negative information from his mind.

Fortunately, your brain waves can respond to positive information quickly. The body, by contrast, may take quite a while to recover from poor nutrition, if it can recover at all. You have seen the brain’s resiliency if you have ever seen your mood change rapidly. You may have been having a terrible day and feeling very sullen, when all of a sudden some piece of positive information maybe an upbeat song, good news from a friend, a child’s smile turns everything around for vou. Part of the message of Brain Wave Vibration, however, is that you don’t have to wait for these special moments. It is remarkably simple to choose the quality of information entering your brain and to control the resulting health of your brain waves.

Music itself has its own level of consciousness and thus can have an effect on the consciousness of the listener. David Hawkins the man who created the Map of Consciousness (page 98 i. tested various genres of music and found that they all possess a certain level of consciousness. For example, classical music as a whole calibrated at a higher level than country music, and country music in general calibrated higher than rap.

Young teenagers understand this instinctively, and thus they often seek to define themselves through associations with certain musical styles. Unfortunately, the music they seek is not always that which lifts them to higher states; more often they are drawn to music that resonates with their current state of consciousness. Just as they are drawn to other kids with similar levels of consciousness, they are drawn to music that resonates with their current brain wave patterns. In other words, a dark, angst-ridden teen is likely to be drawn to similarly themed music, where a more happy-go-lucky type might be more inclined to upbeat pop tunes. The same is also true for adults, even if somewhat less obviously.
