Each of the twelve main Power Brain lessons is designed to be practiced for at least one week before moving on to the next. Each one builds on the skills gained in the previous chapter, so try to complete all lessons in order if possible. However, you may want to try mixing and matching activities to fit the needs of an individual child. You may choose a single five-minute exercise, or you may follow the entire one-hour lesson plan that has been provided. Also, exercises can and should be repeated to increase mastery.
If your schedule is very tight, don’t feel pressured to master each lesson completely in a single week. Do try to be regular in practicing the exercises, but be creative in the ways that you integrate this into your family’s life. Ideally, you should set aside about an hour to introduce a lesson, but even this can be broken down into manageable segments of time. You will quickly discover that you have more available time than you think for practicing some of these exercises. You can try them while standing in line, riding in the car, or getting ready for bed—any place or time is fine.
