To understand ourselves as a spiritual/information body, we cannot stop at just understanding the contents of the information. Information is not the essence of the spiritual/information body, however contrary it may sound. Information is just a mere ripple on the surface of the essence of existence. This essence is the spontaneous generation of energy within a void, an infinity contained within a zero, cosmic energy and cosmic mind rolled into one. This is an extract of Ilchi Lee book.
The purpose of recognizing the spiritual/information body is to recognize this essence, the ultimate wellspring of creation. Through such recognition, we will realize that the physical body is just a tool used by “life.” In this plane, there is no differentiation between life and death. Just as falling leaves in autumn are a natural and perfect expression of life, so is the sprouting of leaves in spring. It is all one continuous process. You can call the recognition of this “enlightenment.” More importantly, a civilization based on such recognition is a spiritual civilization. Therefore, in a spiritual civilization, enlightenment is common sense.
Today’s science can peer into the source of existence and replicate life. We are confused about how to use such technology and skill. We are like children who have stumbled upon something they cannot understand. We are in need of an evolution in spirit and consciousness to match the advances in technology and science.
