Releasing Exercise in Everyday Life

Now, let’s spend some time clearing your brain of the negative emotional energy that you have unwittingly stored in your limbic system and prepared you brain for Dahn Yoga.

Let’s make a list of the different categories of negative emotions you want to release.

Write down an experience that corresponds to a category. You don’t have to write down the details, but you should write down a key word or two that will jog your memory about the experience.

Once you have finished the list, repeat the steps in the Second Stage and release the associated negative energy through the power of smiling.

When you have practiced enough, you can shorten the different stages into one. with Ilchi Lee these instruction you will be able to blow away any negativity with a single breath.

Releasing Smiling Exercise Instructions

First Step: Smiling As You Breathe Out

Sit comfortably and shrug your shoulders up and down to relax.

Breathe in and out several times, massaging your face to release the tension in your facial muscles.

Breathe in, close your eyes gently, and breathe out while forming a slight smile. Breathe in and out deeply and naturally.

When breathing out, combine your exhale with a widening smile. Repeat this several times, focusing on the motion of the smile on your face as a light breath escapes through your lips like a gentle wind.

Slowly shift your consciousness to your brain and feel your brain when you breathe out with a smile. You will feel your brain become lighter and more refreshed for Dahn Hak exercise.
